What would you do for love?

Zachary Drake had love in his life—and tragically lost it. He knows it won’t come his way again. Andie Parker would do anything for the love of her life.

Even marry a total stranger.

In spite of the unorthodox manner in which Zach and Andie come together, there is no denying that things are unexpectedly good between them, taking them both by surprise.

However, when secrets come between them—and trust does not—Andie soon finds herself vowing to never make the same mistake again. But, she’d do it again in a heartbeat and she knows it. She’d marry a hundred strangers if it helped Nick. She’d do anything for Nick . . . anything.

Here's my first review of For Nick:

I loved For Nick! If you had a chance to read Joshua's Folly, then you know that Taylor had strayed from her signature style, but in For Nick the suspense is back! This book had me hooked from the first page. It was a definite page-turner, and for those who get emotional and cry while reading, this one is likely to be a tear-jerker for you.

The story begins with Andie in Zach's office applying for a job she desperately needs. What is offered to her in that office isn't quite what she was expecting, but I will say no more about it - you have to read it to find out what happens. And then there is the matter of Nick. Who is Nick, you ask? Well, again, I can't say. It would ruin the whole book for you. I actually had my own theory of who Nick was, as you will too when you read it, and I was close, but when Nick is revealed the whole situation still broke my heart.

This book can be incredibly sad, so don't go into it thinking you are reading a "light and fluffy" book. That's not the case at all with For Nick. But it's not all sadness. There is a silver lining. You just have to get through some pretty heavy emotional stuff to get there. It has an ending that feels exactly right.

Well, as with most of Taylor Dean's books that is really all I can say about it without accidentally writing any spoilers, so go on and read it yourself! You won't regret it! And if you enjoy it (which you will) make sure to check out her other books, especially I Have People and you can check out her blog at

  1. Yea! Thank you. I just bought Sierra last night to read, so this was a bonus and I'm SUPER excited.

    1. Sierra is my favorite of all of my novels, but For Nick runs a close second. It's so hard to choose--like choosing a favorite child. I'm always surprised by which novel other people tell me is their favorite! Hope you enjoy them both, Charissa!

    2. Okay, Sierra was amazing! At first, I had to put it down because it was too intense and I was sick for Alyssa. But when I plunged into it later, I was captivated and spellbound. That was one of my all-time favorites as well. And I just barely finished For Nick and that kept me guessing all the way to the end. I am now sad that I finished both your super awesome novels in one week and know that any of the other freebies I have on my Kindle will be a let-down after this. You, my friend, are extremely talented, and I hope you have lots more stories in you.

    3. Thank you so much, Charissa! I can't believe you read both books in one week! So glad you liked them. Thank you for reading my books! I'm enjoying 'Secret Keepers' and should be finished with it soon. (we've been out of town and I haven't been reading much!)
I do have another story in me--and I'm going to start writing my next book next week! So excited to get started on it!
Thank you for your wonderful, amazing comment! You made me so happy!

  2. First of all I have to say to Charissa, "YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH SIERRA". It is my all time favorite of Taylor's books and she has some wonderful, awesome, great books.
Next... YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!! I was so wanting this book, "For Nick" and got it just now. Had to let ya know and as soon as I read two books I can get back to your books. I miss them so so so much. I want to read "Joshua's Folly" first but then will have to read this one since you love it so much. I know I will love them both. You are doing so great with your books Taylor so I can't wish you luck. You already have that. I can say CONGRATULATIONS though. :) Your friend and fan always, Linda

    1. Oh, I love the video. The music is so beautiful. Makes me want to read this book even more. Hated to reply to my own message but..... lol :)

    2. Thank you so much for your kind and wonderful words, Linda. You always make me feel so happy! Enjoy the books!
I love the music on the video too, thanks for mentioning that. I spent HOURS listening to music till I found just the right one! So glad to hear you love it!

    3. Yes, yes, yes! You are right, Linda. I did fall in love with Sierra. That was an amazing book I will want to reread in the future.
